pareja en restauranteTypical expressions at the restaurant

Let´s take a look at some vocabulary from “the restaurant”, with some of the most typical questions and answers that you might find yourself a part of in a restaurant. We going to use “Usted” (you formal), to the waiter and “Ustedes” to the customers.

– Mesero: Buenas noches, ¿Van a cenar?

– Pedro: Sí, la carta por favor.

5 minutos después……

– Mesero: ¿Qué van a comer? (What are you going to eat?)

– Pedro: Quisiera un bisteck (steak).

– Mesero: ¿Cómo le gusta? (here we have 3 possibilities to answer: jugoso (red), termino medio o 3/4 (médium) o bien cocido(well done).

– Pedro: Termino Medio por favor.

– Mesero: ¿Lo va a acompañar con algo?

– Pedro: Papas fritas

– Mesero: Muy bien, ¿Qué van a tomar?

(Can I take the plates?.)

– Julia: Sí, claro

– Mesero: ¿Desean comer algún postre? (any dessert)

– Julia: No, gracias, la cuenta por favor.

– Mozo: Sí, cómo no (yes, of course)

– Alfredo: ¿Aceptan tarjeta de crédito?

– Mesero: No, solamente efectivo. (cash only)

– Pedro: Bien, gracias.

Learn spanish while singing a song

A fun and different way to learn Spanish is listening to music and reading the subtitles, that way we get to know the sounds.
I personally like the music of Enrique Iglesias to learn Spanish because Enrrique has a  smooth and clear voice style, so you can learn Spanish easily.
Listen the song and try to follow the subtitles.
